Photographs by Kathy Buckalew, "The Fruits of Their Labor," July 9 - August 1 at Delaware Center for Horticulture, 1810 N. Dupont Street, Wilmington, DE 19806. Opening reception as part of Wilmington's Art Loop, Friday, July 9, 5:30 - 8:30 p.m.
Photographs by Kerry Harrison October 1-31 at Gallery 919, 919 Market Street, Wilmington, DE 19801.
Who showed work:
- Kerry Harrison showed photographs of her recent trip to Utah and images from recent weddings (six in six weeks). Some of her photographs were of her, clothed, on bare rock in Utah, photos which others shot but she directed.
Danny Schweers showed images from Bombay Hook taken June 6 in the company of Joe Del Tufo, Joe's father-in-law Gordon, and Gerry Meekins. Another photo shoot in Bombay Hook is tentatively scheduled for November when the snow geese are there in the thousands. Click here to see some of what they saw, plus three images from an earlier visit by Danny.- Beth Trepper showed her infrared (IR) photos of IReland. There are now at least six photographers in our group regularly shooting infrared. There is only one photographer in our group regularly shooting self-portraits of herself wrapped in diaphanous cloth.
- Beth Harpham showed her recent photos of a horse-riding competition in Lexington, Kentucky and other events. She fed us salad and home-made pizza and then things turned fowl as she let us photograph her chickens, ducks, geese and turkeys.
